Third Christmas was actual Christmas.
This was the first year we spent Christmas with just us at our house.
I was a little nervous that I would be sad and miss all my family on that particular day, even though I’d just seen them.
And although I did miss them (of course!) it was really nice to have a low-key kind of Christmas at our house.
Time to make our own traditions in our own home with our little family!
And it was really fun and really great.
Here’s what it looked like…

This is Tom telling you “Merry Christmas!” on Christmas Eve night.

The first thing Tom saw was his big present from Santa — his own truck!

I had to say, “Look, Tom! More presents!” He was so excited/stunned. Totally cute.

Playing with his Santa presents.

Santa added a new bridge and new trains to Tom’s train table. Hands down, the new trains are his favorite.

Huck was not impressed. Until he got his toys and then he was a maniac.

This is me on Christmas morning. Imagine my hair and face looking amazing and my pregnant belly is barely visible. (That’s not at all what I actually looked like, but I’d like you to imagine it.)

Tom loved my new gift so much, he gave it a sloppy kiss. And then Kev added a screen protector to it “for this exact reason,” he said.

I got this for Kev, but I had no idea what it was. He totally told me what to get and even then, I wasn’t sure I got the right thing. This is him saying, “It’s a yoke! Obviously!” I still don’t understand.

Sneaking peeks into his stocking.
We had a wonderful Christmas and I couldn’t have had a better time. We were able to spend it with a lot of family and then have a quiet day to ourselves too — the best of both worlds! We’re so lucky to have each other.
Hope y’all had a very Merry Christmas too! LOVE!!

Looks like you guys had a wonderful Christmas! Love the truck!
