Let me start by saying, Happy Valentine’s Day!
I’ve always kind of loved Valentine’s Day. I think there was one year when I claimed I hated it and it was dumb and it was invented by greeting card companies and blah, blah, whatevercakes. I was just trying to be cool.
I’m sure you can tell, I’ve stopped trying that now.
So…Happy Valentine’s Day! I love it! I love you!
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, my husband got the flu. So far he hasn’t given me the flu and I hope he doesn’t because I had my heart set on chocolates.
Here’s what Tom and I did this weekend while avoiding all things flu…
Tom was super excited to receive a birthday present in the mail from our friends Joy, Kenon and Wren. Especially because it was a TRUCK! I made the mistake of giving him this gift immediately after he woke up from a nap. Now I think he’s gonna be disappointed when all he gets is yogurt.
The used toy fairy anonymously visited our carport. Twice. Around 11 a.m. someone left the tricycle. I saw it when I brought Tom out to take him for a walk and we played with it for a while. Then around 5 I took out the trash and the swing had been placed right beside it. I’m assuming they were left by my neighbor. Isn’t that the sweetest?! I plan on leaving a plate of cookies in her carport in return.
I let Tom hang out with me in our guest room — which I used for party central — and completely forgot his Valentine’s Day gift was sitting out in plain sight. So he immediately found his pack of little trucks and started playing with them. To which I said, “Happy Valentine’s Day!!!” I mean, he has no idea what day it is.
I made a shirt for Tom to wear on Valentine’s Day. I think it says, “This is a manly baby Valentine’s Day shirt!” Which was exactly what I was going for. To find out how I made it, CLICK HERE.
Happy, Happy Valentine’s Day y’all! I was serious when I said I loved you. (Maybe I’ll leave cookies in your carport too. You never know.)
