When Tom woke up on Monday, I was really, really, REALLY scared about how the rest of our Halloween was going to go.
He was a bit…moody.
And he’s teething.
And he has this thing right now where he shoves a bunch of food in his mouth, gags and throws up.
And then right after he threw up, I accidentally dropped my keys in it.
And this was all before 8 a.m.
So I was nervous.
Would he wear the hat I made?
Would he say “Trick or Treat!”?
Would he understand that candy is awesome?
Y’all. I totally didn’t need to worry.
My child was introduced to Tootsie Rolls at the zoo on Sunday, and he GETS IT.
He had a BLAST!
He wore his hat! He said “Trick or Treat!” He said “Thank you!” in most cases. It was awesome.
I was so proud of him.
And within 20 minutes of getting home, including bath, he was in bed asleep.
Gotta love it.
Here’s how it looked…
Kev came outside wearing an almost identical outfit to Tom. I said almost. So I did what anyone would have done in that situation — printed out a picture of a truck and taped it on my hub so he could be Tom for Halloween. Obviously!
Happy Halloween, y’all! LOVE.
