Bits: Nursery Weekend.

So this weekend the boys hung out all by themselves for the most part.

I didn’t plan for it to be that way — it just happened!

I just woke up Saturday morning and decided it was too cold for me to do anything except shop and paint.

So I shopped for things for baby girl’s nursery, and then I painted some in baby girl’s nursery.

And apparently my boys thought that was BO-RING! so they went to a computer store, ate Chinese food and visited with the grandparents.

They had some nice father-son time and I had some nice getting-things-done-without-interruptions time.

Here’s how it looked…

Before they ran off to be boys, Tom decided to strap his train into his stroller and push it around.

And then he pushed the train in the stroller with his trashcan. Cause that’s how boys do.

And then he parked it right at the train table so it could play. Obviously!

And now — the nursery so far.

I’ll go ahead and tell you that I’d already picked out and ordered bedding.

It was backordered, but I’ve been waiting patiently.

So I started working on the nursery this weekend.

And totally changed my mind on everything I’d already ordered.

So I sent off emails hoping to cancel these things I ordered months ago.

And now instead of bright pops of oranges, reds and pinks as part of a girl-version of Tom’s woodland themed room, this room is now going to be more pastel-y.

See how unprepared I am for having a girl?

I already don’t know what I’m doing and she’s not even here yet!

Anyway — here’s what I worked on.

Kev put the crib together last weekend so I was able to figure out where I wanted it! I used my sister’s projector and traced an image on the wall that I liked, traced around it with chalk, and painted it in. I really like how it turned out! The artwork on the walls are little bunnies and sheep and I printed them for FREE(!!) from this site: www.thehandmadehome.net. Amazing! I also printed off some number prints from the same site to hang above baby girl’s closet. The artwork was the main reason I changed my mind on the room colors. I couldn’t help it!

I got this artwork from Etsy from two different artists — but they are so similar and all of an Alice in Wonderland theme! I love them so much. These prints are above baby girl’s dresser.

That’s it! I rearranged the furniture in the nursery and moved more stuff out, but it’s still kind of crazy in there so I didn’t take photos of that yet. I’m sure there will be more soon, though, considering I only have about 6 weeks left until she’s here! Can you believe that? Neither can I!

Hope y’all have a great week! LOVE!
