This weekend was jam-packed and I loved every second of it!
We went to the zoo, the children’s museum, we grilled out, went to a Braves game, had friends over and went to visit the grandparents.
We were all seriously exhausted by the end of it, but it was really, really awesome that so many super cool people came to hang out with us this weekend!
Here’s what it looked like…
My aunt and uncle came up on Friday morning with their 3-year-old daughter to hang with us! First stop? The zoo! Hattie and Tom loved the goats. Tom will tell you he loves the “goosies!” That means goats.
Saturday we headed out to the Children’s Museum. Alice loves museums.
Tom found a stuffed carrot that a million germ-y kids touch everyday and put it in his mouth. Woo!
Grandma came up and met us at the museum. Yay!
Drink? Check. Snacks? Check. Tomahawk? Check. Crooked sunglasses? Check. Tom all ready for his first Braves game with Daddy, Larry and Hattie!
Our great friends Tony and Julie-Ann came over with their daughter to play with us on Sunday! Alice approved.
Tom and Maddie not really eating lunch. Well, they ate the Doritos. (Of course!)
I finally harassed Kevin enough to set up the inflatable pool. Yay! This is what Tom looks like when Kev pours cold water on him. Awesome.
There’s a sweaty baby in there.
After all that super fun stuff, we spent yesterday at the movies. Just me and Kevin! At an actual theater! We took Tom and Alice to Mimi and Pop’s house to spend the afternoon and Kev and I saw Men In Black 3 (I liked it!) and went out to lunch. It was pretty awesome. And then my sister-in-law and brother-in-law stopped by and brought my nieces and nephew and Tom spent the rest of the day chasing them and playing. It was just a really awesome weekend filled with some of our favorite people on the planet!
The end result was Tom went to bed an hour early last night and Alice slept until 7:30 this morning.
(Woo!)
Hope y’all had a great weekend, too, and that you have a wonderful rest of the week!
