Alice is in full-on teething mode.
I remember this happening with Tom too, and everyone telling me he would get teeth soon.
He just chewed and chewed and drooled and drooled for months before his first little speck of tooth started to pop through.
And Alice seems to be on that path.
The past two weeks she’s been really chewing on everything — her teethers, her blankets, my fingers, her hands — everything!
Yesterday I changed her outfit three times just due to the drool.
Of course, the easiest thing for her to chew on is her own hand, and she’s been doing it quite a bit.
And when that happens, her big brother gets very worried.
Pretty much on a daily basis I hear Tom yelling, “No, Alice, no! Do NOT eat your hand, Baby Alice!”
And he shakes is finger at her and he shakes his head and he usually adds a “Stop that!” before going back to his trains, confident the crisis of his little sister almost eating her own hand is under control.
Thank goodness Alice has such a good big brother looking after her.
If not for Tom, Alice would be totally hand-less by now.
