This is the weekend Tom gets sick every year.
How do I know?
Because this is his friend, Maddie’s, birthday weekend.
Every. Year.
We have yet to make it to her party, even though we RSVP every time!
So Saturday morning around 1 a.m. Tom woke up with a fever and threw up.
And he had a fever the entire rest of the weekend.
Luckily by Sunday, it was really low and he was on the mend — but we kept things close to home anyway.
Here’s how it looked…
If you’re sick, and you’re Tom, all you want to do is take your sick towel and sit in the dog’s bed.
Or curl up in it. This was not a one-time thing, either. He kept going back to it all weekend. Something very comforting about that little bed…
Also comforting? Watching a movie in Dad’s recliner with ALL your favorite animals.
Tom loving Alice. Mom hating mosquito bites on Tom’s FACE.
And now for some crafts…
I made these for the birds. (Tutorial HERE.) My notes: I used birdseed for Wild Birds from Publix. I needed at least 1 cup of birdseed and sometimes more per batch. Out of the 6 I made this go round, only 2 were perfectly awesome — the others were too gooey. So really make sure you add enough birdseed to use up the gelatin mixture. Also? Why the heck do I have SIX star-shaped cookie cutters? No idea. I will do this craft again — I really like how they turned out and think they’ll make cute Christmas gifts for my neighbors.
I got this free printable HERE. I bought the wood plaque from Hobby Lobby for $2, painted it black and used mod podge to glue it on. Yay cheap Halloween decor! I have no idea why I’m on a craft binge right now. I think the fall weather just gets me energized. That or the coffee.
I hope y’all have a wonderful week! LOVE!
Your crafts are awesome. Tom being sick is not. Hope he feels much better now.
I hope Tom is feeling better!! Addison has that same blue watering can 🙂 Miss you!!!
Love the birdseed craft. Thanks for reminding me
