This weekend we went to a cabin in the north Georgia mountains with our playgroup friends!
It was great — the house was amazing, the friends were awesome and Tom had the time of his life.
Kev and Alice stayed home because she was feeling under the weather and we didn’t think a big trip would be good for her — but Tom and I went and he was so very happy to see all of his friends.
But here’s the thing — about 2 a.m. he woke up with a fever.
And then he threw up.
And I didn’t bring medicine because I am a loser.
And I didn’t want to wake any of the other mommies because I knew they’d had a time getting their little ones to sleep.
And Tom and I were both really, really awake.
So…
I drove home at 3:30 in the morning.
Insane, I know!
But…we got home, I got him some medicine, I put him to sleep and we worked on getting him better.
He was miserable.
But today he’s been much better, and then tonight he had a very slight fever again.
What is that about?
Anyway! Here’s how it looked…
Showing off their Santa craft!
Cookie eating! (Brag: I made their aprons and loved how they looked on all of them. I dreamed of a group shot, but I introduced the cookies and it was clear very quickly that I wouldn’t be getting them to sit still ever again. 🙂 Also? Tom likes red sprinkles.)
And Gracie likes pink sprinkles.
Addison concentrating so hard and doing a wonderful job!
Tom told me he made this cookie for me. An angel with a broken wing. Ha! (It was good.)
Tom’s masterpieces. Each with a bite out of them.
Maxine sharing cookies with Daddy.
Maxine’s cookies looked amazing.
After cookies. They’re jumping and yelling nonsense! LOVE.
Hope y’all have a wonderful week! xoxo.
I still can’t believe you drove home in the dark in that fog!?!?! I hope Tom is feeling better but we were so happy you guys made it! Jeffrey loved getting Tom to laugh by chasing him with Crosby!
