Every year my mom made Christmas cookies and icing so Rachel and I could decorate them.
We loved doing it.
LOVED cookie-decorating-day!
So when Rachel and I became parents, it was a no-brainer that this was a tradition we’d continue.
And we have — each year since we’ve had our kiddos, Rachel and her kids come over to spend the day with us and decorate cookies.
It’s awesome.
The older the kids get, the more fun it’s becoming.
I really love it.
Here’s how it looked…
Me: “Matilda and Gus are here!” Tom: “YAY!YAY!YAY!YAY!YAY!”
Rachel is still trying to get Gus situated, but the older kids are already getting down to business.
Hey! Does it look like he’s sticking his finger in the icing so he can eat it? Perfect! Because that’s totally what he’s doing.
I think Gus decorated this one cookie and then ate it. That’s how I do it, too.
Me and Gus are happy together.
Hope y’all have a good week! LOVE.
How fun to continue traditions started when you were a child!
Such a great tradition! Addison looooved it up at the cabin!
