My niece, Matilda, will turn 4 years old in late June, so we went ahead and had a party for her this weekend.
Ha!
Matilda’s little brother also has a birthday in late June, so Rachel thought it’d be easier to break their parties up — and invite some of Matilda’s classmates too.
It was awesome.
The party was held at the Bear Hollow Zoo in Memorial Park in Athens.
It’s a super cute place that had a walking path with animals to see.
And at the party, a volunteer showed the kids three different animals.
(We saw a baby hedgehog! OMCuteness!)
And the duck pooped in front of us, which was Tom’s favorite thing ever.
The day was cold and rainy, but we just sloshed down that pathway and visited the animals anyway and the kids all loved it!
(It was pretty awesome. Wet. But awesome.)
And my sister did an amazing job making Matilda’s dreams for a enchanted fairy party come true!
Here’s how it looked…
Table all ready for the fairies!
Tom was really concentrating. He just LOVED this!
Grandma helped Alice get in on the action, too!
Touching the blue-tongued skink!
(A duck that poops twice during a short presentation = AWESOME!)
Alice loves animals. Like…really loves.
Rachel made this punch box game (via Pinterest). Once the kids punched a circle, they got the treat bag that was inside. This was a HUGE hit. Seriously awesome.
I spy a little guy eating a bunch of marshmallows.
We had a wonderful time and Rachel did an excellent job putting everything together!
It was beyond awesome and Matilda had a great time.
I didn’t take my camera on the wet animal tour because I didn’t want it to float away, but it was great, too.
Hope y’all have a great week!
LOVE.
Looks like you guys had a blast! Such an awesome party! Your sister is wonderful at all that party planning!! Miss you!!
