Bits: NC Mountain Weekend.

This weekend we went to my aunt and uncle’s house in the North Carolina mountains.

Kevin and I love it there.

We want to live there.

Specifically in my aunt and uncle’s house.

With my cool aunt and uncle.

We all had a wonderful time.

My uncle Bill had bought a train for Tom to play with while we there and oh my goodness — he loved it.

Like…he slept with it.

Fell-asleep-with-a-flashlight-pointed-at-it-so-it-was-the-last-thing-he-saw-before-he-went-to-sleep-LOVED-it.

And then Bill showed him part of a movie with a massive train crash and they watched it approximately 481 times together.

And Tom has spent the past days since we’ve been home recreating that train crash with his trains.

To Tom, my uncle Bill is like…THE. BEST. EVER.

And Alice fell in love with my aunt Carolyn all over again.

They hung out.

Alice loved all of Carolyn’s swishy skirts.

And she loved the way Carolyn has decorated her homes with really soft Ikea rugs.

It really was the best time and I’m so happy we were able to go.

Look…I’ll show you!

That’s pure happiness right there.

Picture this for 3 straight days.  That’s what happened.

Alice picked her first apple and ate it.  LOVES apples!

I don’t think anyone loves Ikea rugs more than this girl.

She loved the rugs so much, I thought I should record it. Because there aren’t nearly enough baby-loves-rugs videos out there.

And even the ride home was beautiful and fun…

He’s supposed to be watching the road — but it’s so pretty!

We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!

Hope y’all are having a great week, my LOVES!
