Tom started back to school this week!
This year my big 3-year-old will be going three days a week.
And this year my big 3-year-old was totally ready to go!
His new teacher told him to bring something he loved to school to show his class on the first day — so he brought his favorite Transformer, Chase.
As soon as we got to his new classroom, another boy just inside the door was still crying a little bit. Tom went right up to him and showed him his Chase and said, “It will be okay, boy.” Ha!
(And now they are best friends. I know this because he is the only child’s name Tom knows.)
When I picked Tom up the first day his teachers told me he was an old pro and was just awesome — so I’m really excited for him and can’t wait to see how he grows this year.
Today when I picked him up, I asked him if he did any crafts.
“No. No crafts. We just did stuff with paint and our fingerprints.”
“Isn’t that a craft?” I asked.
“No, Mom. Just fingerprints.”
Got that?
Fingerprint painting is NOT A CRAFT.
He’s already learned so much.
He is growing up so fast-glad he had a great first day!
He is getting so big! Such an older looking little boy…so cute! Miss you guys!
