Tom’s preschool Christmas program and party were held on different days, but I’m combining.
First, Tom’s Christmas program was so cute!
The 4-year-old class acted out the story of the birth of Jesus, and then the 3-year-old classes — which included Tom — sang some songs for us!
Tom’s class did Little Drummer boy and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
Here’s Tom before his big performance…
And afterwards, he looked like this…
(I don’t have pics of his actual performance because Kev took video only, but I know there’s a way to get pics from that. I just don’t know how to do it. Kev does! I’ll get back to you.)
Second, Tom’s Christmas party was one super jam-packed hour!
This was the first time I’d taken Alice with me to one of Tom’s school parties — and it was…BUSY!
But Alice was a dream!
She participated in everything and genuinely loved being with all the “big kids”.
This party included lunch — so doing lunch, games, a craft, a story and cookie decorating in one hour with ten 3-year-olds (and a cute 1-year-old) was a bit hectic, but really fun!
I think the kids had a great time.
Here’s a few pictures I was able to snap in the midst of all the crazy…
We also did a pin the nose on the snowman game. Always popular!
(Except with Tom, who refused to do it. Stink!)
I was happy with this crazy, fun party — even if I felt like I’d run a marathon afterwards! The hardest part was cleaning up with both kids there — Alice kept trying to escape the school, and Tom kept wanting to dig through everything I’d packed up. And we were on a time crunch, since we were leaving directly after to head down to my parent’s house for Christmas. Whew! I’m actually getting stressed just typing that. Ha!
But it was a really fun time, and I’m so happy to be able to be the room mom.
Hope the kids had a great time!
