Christmas.

Our Christmas was spent at home, just us.

It was perfect.

The night before Christmas…we made reindeer food and sprinkled it in the driveway, along with a few carrots.

We set out cookies and milk for Santa.

Alice accidentally fell asleep before she was supposed to, so we woke her up to get Santa’s cookies together, and then she and Tom went to sleep for real.

And then on Christmas morning — they woke up to discover that Santa had visited our house!

They were so excited and happy.

It was a whirlwind.  It was wonderful.  It was just the happiest of days.

I love watching them on Christmas morning.  As a parent, it’s just…the best of the best.

She got the cookies and milk ready, then covered it with a towel so “it would be a surprise!”

After all the gifts were opened, we decided to head down to the park to feed the ducks, and ride bikes!

Just spending that quiet time outside, was so great.

(And to get away from that mess! Ha!)

It was a wonderful day, spent with my little family.

It could not have been better.
