About Kate (And Her Loves.)

I am a born and raised Georgia girl who moved to the big city of Atlanta for my job as a television news writer in 1999.

I married a boy named Kevin in 2007.

Then we bought a house…(July 2008)

Got a Huckle dog…(September 2008)

Had a baby Tom…(February 2010)

Followed by a baby Alice. (March 2012)

Along the way, I made some major life changes that shocked me.

Also, the people mentioned in this blog don’t get special blog names.  Their names are Kevin, Huck, Tom and Alice.  Sorry if you wanted them to be called Hubby, Pup, Toddler Monkey and Crazy Baby.

I think writing this About section is way harder than writing a blog.

I’m sure I’ll change it about 129 more times before I like it.

This blog is mainly about how I have no idea what I’m doing as a parent — but the one thing I do know is that I LOVE my little family very, very much and feel so lucky to have this life.

Sometimes people want to contact me. If you are one of those people, I am spencerkadey@hotmail.com. Yes, I still use hotmail.

    Kate,
Got a call from Chris Fowler this afternoon. He told me about your web site and all the exciting things happening to you. It was wonderful to see that you are now a MOM. What great news!!! I can’t think of anyone more deserving. I have spent the past hour reading about you and your family. You are an amazing young lady and my memories of you will always be happy ones. Its great to see good things happen to good people! Feel free to e-mail sometime. I would enjoy hearing from you.
    your old MCR buddy,

    Hey!
I love your blog…it’s wonderful just like you! I’m about to enter the world of blogging but I’m still trying to figure everything out. When I do I’ll let you know. In the meantime I look forward to keeping up with my best white friend in the whole world this way!
    Love ya!

As someone who’s skin is either red or white with no in between, I totally appreciate your idea of freckles running together to become a tan! Great!
